Radiohead’s House of Cards (in 3D)

In Radiohead’s new video for “House of Cards”, no cameras or lights were used. Instead, 3D plotting technologies provided by Google, collected information about the shapes and relative distances of objects. The video was created entirely with visualizations of that data relying entirely on two scanning technologies to capture 3D images: Geometric Informatics (which produced structured light to capture images up-close) and Velodyne LIDAR (which used lasers to capture large physical landscapes).
