I am a big fan of cloud computing. I use Google Docs, for example, for both work and personal use. This comes with a risk, however, as law enforcement leverage cloud computing as an easy way to subpoena documents from the provider without the users knowledge. The laws need to be updated and Congress should act on this to at least provide notification to users when their documents are subpoenaed.
Saul Hansell of the New York Times has written a piece disussing this very point.
