Here is more hate supported by Christofacist superstition. This stuff is toxic and it is good for the rest of us to be aware of the existence of the vile garbage.

I’m going to tell you something. I hate Barack Obama. You say, well, you just mean you don’t like what he stands for. No, I hate the person. Oh, you mean you just don’t like his policies. No, I hate him.
I am not going to pray for his good. I am going to pray that he dies and goes to hell.
What goes around comes around. You love violence. You hate that which is right. You love to harm others. You love to hurt or kill the unborn or the innocent or the righteous. He is saying, God is going to bring that upon your own head, because whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Now, turn back to Psalm 58 and let me ask you this question. Why should Barack Obama melt like a snail? Why should Barack Obama die like the untimely birth of a woman? Why should his children be fatherless and his wife a widow, as we read in this passage?
Well, I will tell you why. Because, since Barack Obama thinks it is OK to use a salty solution, right, to abort the unborn, because that’s how abortions are done, my friend, using salt — and I would like to see Barack Obama melt like a snail tonight.
If you think God is in control of this country, you’re insane. A madman is in control of this country.

Here is Congressman Pete Olson, a Texas Republican, lying about about what a public health insurance program would do for an unborn child with a heart defect. Olson contends that the child would be left to die. The truth of the matter is that this woman had to search for a doctor to perform the procedure after being denied by several doctors for her lack of insurance.

This myth about rationing is amazing when you consider that today under the profit-from-death health insurance system, people are left to die all the time. The insurance industry’s purpose is to deny health care, not provide it. The profit motive works well in the computer industry, or travel or apparel but not for health care.

Here is a good heads up story in the New York Times.

The Northern California chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has put together a campaign to raise awareness of privacy issues surrounding Facebook applications, in particular quizzes. According to this group, the millions of Facebook users taking quizzes are revealing far more personal information to application developers than they are aware of. This is mostly due to the fact that Facebook’s default privacy settings allow access to all your profile information whether or not your profile is set to “private.” Even worse, the ACLU reports that even if you shun quizzes yourself, your profile info is revealed when one of your friends takes a quiz. Want to see how bad the problem is? Just take the ACLU’s Facebook Quiz and prepared to be shocked.

This positive development being reported by CNN

(CNN) — Uruguay drew one step closer to becoming the first country in Latin America to allow same-sex couples to adopt children with the passage of a bill by the lower house of Congress.

The bill, approved Thursday by a vote of 40-13, must pass the Senate. Because the ruling Frente Amplio party holds a majority, the bill’s passage is almost assured in the Senate, which must vote before September 15.

The adoption measure would be the most recent of progressive laws passed with the backing of President Tabare Vazquez.

Uruguay also authorized same-sex civil unions last year, setting the stage for the current adoption law.

“In adoption, what matters is love and the quality of the home so that the child can develop, and not necessarily the sexual preference of their parents,” Congressman Pablo Alvarez of the Frente Amplio party told the Espectador newspaper following Thursday’s vote.

The measure was not without opponents among conservatives and the clergy.

Last week, Archbishop Nicolas Cotugno of Montevideo, Uruguay’s capital city, released a statement warning of consequences for society should the law pass, the Catholic News Agency reported. Be afraid because you know all those kids adopted by gay couples will be gay too, huh?

“The adoption of children by homosexual couples is not a question of religion, philosophy or sociology. It has to do with respect for human nature itself,” he said, according to CNA. “To accept the adoption of children by homosexual couples is to go against human nature itself, and consequently, it is to go against the fundamental rights of the human being as a person.” It would be nice if one of these fundies would for once provide a cogent and intelligent reason why that could be the case. There is none. We are to accept the false premise on faith.

Good to see Uruguay moving in a progressive direction.

This right-wing hater ripped this woman’s poster of Rosa Parks. It’s funny, now that we have a black president and the accelerated emergence of minorities in this country these old fossils just can’t deal with it. Once again, the right-wing is on the wrong side of history as they have been for hundreds of years. They always lose in the end.
