I don’t understand all the ruckus with the election of Scott Brown. The Senate already passed a health care bill. All the House has to do is to take that bill and pass it as is, and it goes to the President.
I say, forget about amending and bothering with the whole conference committee proces at this point. Just pass it, send it to the President and then with subsequent legislation amend it. I know it’s not the prettiest bill, but it’s a start. And, well, that would just piss off the Republicans, and to that I say “tough.”
