When people talk about the “good old days” here is one of those little reminders that the old days weren’t always so good.
I came across this letter at Halucine’s Soup. It was sent to a female artist who sent art samples to Disney for consideration in 1938.
Women do not do any of the creative work in connection with preparing the cartoons for the screen, as that work is performed entirely by young men. For this reason girls are not consired for the training school.
