A robot that flies like a bird

Markus Fischer and his team at Festo built SmartBird, a large, lightweight robot, modeled on a seagull, that flies by flapping its wings.

    That is truly amazing! What would Da Vinci say? What’s next?! Where do I buy wings I can attach to me? And last but not least, I assume we can now kill all birds?

    It would be fun to have one of those just to mess with people. It would freak them out thinking a bird is aiming right at them. :)
