Here is a sampling of direct threats of rape and murder from Fox News fans on Facebook in response to the lawsuit by American Atheists, Inc. against the World Trade Center Christian cross movement.

These are professed followers of the Prince of Peace, right?
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. – Matthew 5:38-39
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:43-48
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. -Matthew 26:52
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. -Matthew 5:9
Then again, I suppose it depends on what mood their Jesus is in on any given day,
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law… -Matthew 10:34-35
Rational people don’t need contradictory Bible quotes to discern between right and wrong. You’d go crazy trying to make sense of this. Jesus, save me from your followers!
