Using Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers, Reagan advisor Bruce Bartlett shows that government regulation has accounted for less than 2% of layoffs where lack of demand accounts for 30% which blows away the myths being spread by @Eric Cantor and the rest of the Republicans that the key to job creation is less regulation. There is no data to support this. Nothing! Supply has never created jobs. Sadly, this myth is dogma to our friends on the right.
