On January 1 of this year, Bob Anderson passed on. Anderson was an Olympic fencer and is often forgotten as one of the men who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, during the light saber battles.
Including Anderson, a total of six actors contributed to making the character of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader come to life. In addition to Andreson, there was David Prowse, James Earl Jones, Sebastian Shaw, Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christiansen.
Here’s to Anderson, who is often the least regarded, but whose contribution was humongous.
